2. Information we collect

• Account: email, name, city, role (client/provider).
• Quote requests & messages: content you send to providers, scheduling preferences.
• Provider profile data: business name, services, licensing, photos, hourly rate.
• Usage: pages viewed, search queries, IP, device, anonymous analytics.

3. How we use it

• Match clients with relevant providers and deliver quote requests.
• Operate the platform: authentication, security, fraud prevention.
• Communicate service updates, support replies, and (with consent) marketing.
• Comply with applicable Canadian law, including PIPEDA and provincial health privacy laws.

4. Sharing

We share quote and message content only with the provider you contact. We do not sell personal information. We use processors (hosting, email, payments) bound by confidentiality and security obligations.

Information you share in a quote or message may include personal health information. Share only what is necessary. Providers are responsible for handling that information in accordance with their regulatory college and applicable health privacy laws.

6. Storage & security

Data is stored on Canadian-region cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and at rest. We apply row-level security so users only see data they're authorized to access.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your account data at any time. Email info@healthstars.ca and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for authentication and basic analytics.

9. Advertising

HealthStars is free to use and is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense to serve ads on parts of this site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites.
