Terms of Service

    Last updated: October 19, 2026

    1. What HealthStars is

HealthStars.ca is a directory and quote-request platform. We are not a healthcare provider. We do not deliver medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.

    2. Provider relationship

All care is provided by independent professionals. The contract for any service is between you and the provider. HealthStars is not a party to that contract and is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality or pricing of services delivered.

    3. Verification

We perform reasonable checks on listed providers (credentials, insurance, identity) but cannot guarantee ongoing compliance. Always confirm credentials with the relevant Canadian regulatory college.

    4. Acceptable use

    • No false, defamatory, harassing or unlawful content.
    • No scraping, automated access, or bulk extraction.
    • No misuse of other users' personal or health information.
    • Reviews must reflect genuine first-hand experience.

    5. Provider listings

Provider listings are free of charge. There are no subscriptions, paid placements or fees of any kind. We may remove or suspend a listing that breaches these terms.

    6. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.

    7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, HealthStars's aggregate liability arising from your use of the platform is limited to CAD $100 or the fees you paid us in the prior 12 months, whichever is greater.

    8. Emergencies

If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911. Do not use HealthStars to seek emergency care.

    9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
